When someone says library, everyone automatically thinks of words, yet what about numbers. Numbers can reveal just as much history as the words in the books. Recently it has been discovered that The Library offers tours for those who wish to learn more about the place where students spend up to 8 million minutes last year alone. Through this number the public can see how much time students put into their studies and why it is an essential place for the University. Through the 678,000 visits to The Library last year, the numbers reveal the large-scale and diversity of people who visit and seek guidance within the walls of The Library. The numbers also reveal the dedication of the staff and University to maintain the upkeep of an essential facility. The Library was open for 6500 hours last year, from November to May it became 24/7 presenting it’s necessity during exam season for students to have easy access to the resources they need.
